Solarly is the independent newsroom and data desk for plug-in solar. The small, outlet-connected "balcony" panels that let renters and apartment dwellers cut their electricity bill without a roof, a permit, or an installer.

Full of helpful guides, updated legal landscape, and tools to help people adopt solar, in a range of new and innovative ways.

One sharp question

Solarly answers one sharp question: would a plug-in panel on your balcony pay off? It pulls real solar data for your address, checks your state’s law, and recommends a kit with honest payback math. I designed and built all of it!
