Campgrounder was born out of frustration with the current outdoor site landscape. Knowing a more cohesive, intentionally designed experience was possible, I set out to design a clean, restrained, and modern app that also hearkened back to the simpler days of getting outdoors, and into nature. I designed and built the whole thing solo: the brand, the interface, and the code.
Campgrounder.io is designed to help you find the right type of site for you, whether that’s off-grid and far-flung, or RV-ready and close to a city. It’s live on the web and the iOS App Store, with more than 1,600 campgrounds across all 50 states and Canada, live availability from Recreation.gov, and wildfire, weather, and local geology built into every listing. Booking hands off to the official reservation site, and Campgrounder doesn’t take a cut.
