Winter

Well, it’s here. The season that provokes a lot of emotion. Some hate the cold with a passion, and have taken great pains to move to warm climates, never to return to snow.  For others, it’s all about Christmas, a holiday so absurdly bloated it is hardly recognizable under all that red ribbon and garland.   For the rest of us, it’s probably mixed.  A season that, in truth, can be wrought with family stresses, overindulgence and guilt over high Visa bills. It’s also a fantastically charming time where you unpack all those scarves and mittens, reconnect with loved ones, and have a perfect excuse to put bourbon in your tea.  It’s a time to work on your soup recipes and enjoy the hell out of those reruns of It’s a Wonderful Life,  A Christmas Story, and A Charlie Brown Christmas, Though that Vince Guaraldi theme song sticks in your head just a bit too long.
